Description

Histone deacetylase (HDAC) plays a central role in controlling cell cycle regulation, cell differentiation and tissue development. HDAC1 is ubiquitous and plays a role in cell senescence, cardiomyocyte differentiation and hypertrophy, liver senescence, myelination and adult neurogenesis. The HDAC1 IP and Activity Assay Kit provides an antibody-based method that can specifically immunoprecipitate HDAC1 complexes from cells and tissues and measure the activity of HDAC1 by fluorescence. Use HDAC1 antibody to immunoprecipitate HDAC1 from cell, nucleus or tissue extracts, and then capture the complex on protein A/G beads. The immunoprecipitated complex is incubated with the HDAC substrate. The developer only cleaves the deacetylated substrate to produce a fluorophore, which can be easily analyzed using a fluorescence microplate reader.
