Product Overview

Description

The NeuroDiff™ Forebrain Neuron Maturation Kit is designed to work in conjunction with the NeuroDiff™ Forebrain Neuron Differentiation Kit (Cat. No. NCC200504ZP) in order to produce forebrain-type neurons that are FOXG1-positive from neural progenitor cells sourced from human pluripotent stem cells. The resulting neurons have a high level of purity (≥90% Class III β-tubulin positive neurons; <10% GFAP positive astrocytes), exhibit functionality, and can be maintained in culture for extended periods of time. These neurons serve as versatile tools for modeling neurodevelopment and diseases.

Highlights
• Serum-free
• Reproducible maturity of neuronal precursors derived from a variety of human ES and iPS cell lines
• Supports efficient generation of functional neurons from neuronal precursors derived from hPSC
• Produce high-purity (≥90% neurons) mixed excitatory and inhibitory neurons, which can be cultured for a long time
• Support neuronal activity for physiologically relevant results

Storage

Cells: When stored under the recommended storage conditions (liquid nitrogen), cells are stable up to five years. Do not expose to high temperature. After expiration, discard all remaining reagents. We recommend using cells within ten generations.

Medium: Medium should be stored at -20 °C, until ready to use. After thawing, the medium should be stored at 2-8 °C, and given a 1-month expiration dating. It is recommended to divide into small portions to avoid repeated heating before each use.

Quality Control

Each lot of media is tested for the optimal differentiation.
Sterility Testing: Negative
