Description

The proliferation kit (mouse and rat) is a standard serum-free medium, added with supplements, used to culture mouse and rat neural stem cells and progenitor cells in normal tissues or tumor samples. After supplementing with appropriate cytokines, the Proliferation Kit (mouse and rat) is optimized to maintain the growth of mouse and rat neural stem cells in culture for a long time without losing its potential for self-renewal, proliferation or differentiation.

Note: When preparing a complete proliferation medium, human recombinant EGF needs to be added. When culturing cells obtained from adult mice or rats, human recombinant bFGF and heparin solutions are also required. Application Notes

When preparing a complete NeuroInduc™ proliferation medium, it is necessary to add human recombinant EGF (catalog number NCC200612ZP). When culturing cells obtained from adult mice or rats, human recombinant bFGF (catalog number NCC200614ZP) and heparin solution (catalog number NCC200613ZP) are also required.

Cells: When stored under the recommended storage conditions (liquid nitrogen), cells are stable up to five years. Do not expose to high temperature. After expiration, discard all remaining reagents. We recommend using cells within ten generations.

Medium: Medium should be stored at -20 °C, until ready to use. After thawing, the medium should be stored at 2-8C, and given a 1-month expiration dating. It is recommended to divide into small portions to avoid repeated heating before each use.
