Description
CCL11 selectively recruits eosinophils by binding to the chemokine receptor CCR3 during allergies. In response to several pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as IL-4, IL-13, TNF-α and IFN-α) produced by mast cells and Th2 lymphocytes, the production of CCL11 is up-regulated. It has been reported that CCL11 stimulates the release of eosinophils from the bone marrow, leading to an increase in circulating eosinophils.

Recombinant Mouse CCL11, (amino acids (His24-Pro97, Accession# NM_011330), were expressed in E. coli.
