Description

Colloidal iron ions are mainly absorbed by carboxylated and sulfated mucilage substances at low pH. Excess reagents are washed off and a classic Prussian blue reaction (iron staining) is used to demonstrate iron binding to tissue. The colloidal iron staining kit is designed to demonstrate carboxylated and sulfated mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins in tissues. It works with any well-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue.
