Product Overview

Description

The NeuroDiff™ SMADi Neural induction kit consists of a defined serum-free medium and supplements for the efficient induction of human embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. This kit uses NeuroDiff™ Neural induction medium (Cat.#NCC200502ZP) in combination with NeuroDiff™ SMADi Neural induction supplements to guide differentiation by blocking TGF-β/BMP-dependent SMAD signaling, even difficult to differentiate Cell line for effective nerve induction. Neural progenitor cells (NPC) can be generated using the NeuroDiff™ SMADi Neural induction kit with the embryoid body (EB) protocol or monolayer culture protocol. The resulting culture is rich in central nervous system (CNS) type NPC expressing SOX1, Nestin and PAX6. The NPCs produced using this kit can be passaged in a single cell and expanded in NeuroDiff™ neural progenitor cell culture medium (Cat.# NCC200609ZP). NPC can also differentiate into neurons and glia.
