Product Overview

Description

The mouse anti-human synaptophysin antibody can recognize synaptophysin, also known as the major synaptophysin p38.
Synaptophysin encodes the complete membrane protein of small synaptic vesicles in the brain and endocrine cells. Synaptophysin also binds to cholesterol and is thought to target vesicle-associated membrane protein 2 (synapsin) directly to the intracellular compartment. Synaptophysin mutations are associated with X-linked mental retardation (XLMR) (provided by RefSeq, August 2011).

Crude human synaptic immunoprecipitate.
