Description

Rat anti-Mouse CD301 antibody, recognizes mouse CD301, a cell surface protein of approximately 38 kDa, also known as macrophage galactose N-acetylgalactosamine lectin (MGL) or dendritic cell depletion Sialyl glycoprotein (DC-ASGPR). In mice, CD301 is mainly expressed on mature macrophages, which are associated with a wide range of connective tissues, including macrophages in the dermis and pancreas. Clone ER-MP23 can also detect dendritic cells in lymphoid tissues. These dendritic cells are likely to have recently migrated from the surrounding connective tissue. The expression of CD301 is induced by alternate activation of macrophages and dendritic cells (ie IL-4/IL-13 mediated), but not all CD301-positive cells must be affected by IL-4/IL-13 stimulate.
