Description

ALDH1A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins and is involved in the metabolism of alcohol. Alcohol metabolism involves two main liver isoforms, mitochondria and cystic. ALDH1A1 is also involved in retinol metabolism, where retinol is converted to retinoic acid. It is suggested that the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells is mediated by ALDH1A1 controlling the retinoid signal pathway.

Immunogen

Clone M562 was generated from a recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids in the N-terminal region from human ALDH1A1.
