Product Overview

Description

FTO (obesity and obesity-related gene) is the responsible gene for the mutation of the "fusion toe" in mice. There is an association between FTO genotype and type 2 diabetes. It was found that the presence of the FTO rs9939609 A allele was positively correlated with other symptoms of metabolic syndrome, including higher fasting insulin, glucose, triglycerides and lower HDL cholesterol.

Immunogen

The FTO antibody is produced from recombinant human FTO.
