Description
Norepinephrine (NE) is the precursor of adrenaline secreted by the adrenal medulla and is a well-known central and autonomic neurotransmitter. Norepinephrine is the main transmitter of the diffuse projection system in the brain caused by most of the postganglionic sympathetic nerve fibers and locus coeruleus. Norepinephrine is also present in plants and is used pharmacologically as a sympathomimetic. Our norepinephrine ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of norepinephrine in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant. The density of the color is directly proportional to the amount of norepinephrine captured from the sample.
