Description
Alizarin Red Staining Kit was used to identify calcium on tissue sections. Calcium forms Alizarin Red S-calcium complex during chelation. The reaction is not strictly specific for calcium, as magnesium, manganese, barium, strontium, and iron may interfere, but these elements are usually not present in sufficient concentrations to interfere with staining.
