Description
The Fontana-Masson Stain Kit is designed to identify silver particles and melanin in tissue. Melanin is a non-lipid, non-hematogenous pigment. It is a brown-black pigment usually found in the hair, skin, retina, iris and certain parts of the central nervous system. Argentaffin particles are present in carcinoid tumors.
