Description

A complete medium for in vitro normal mesenchyme that is developed for the best development of cytoplasmic stem cells is mesenchymal stem cell medium (MSCM), mesenchymal stem cell growth supplement (MSCGS), and 25 ml foetal bovine serum (FBS). It is a sterile liquid medium that includes vitamins, trace minerals, essential and non-essential amino acids, organic and inorganic chemicals, hormones, growth factors, and foetal bovine serum at a low concentration (5%). When the medium is equilibrated in an incubator with a 5% CO2/95% air environment, it is HEPES and bicarbonate buffered and has a pH of 7.4. The medium is designed (quantitatively and qualitatively) to offer a nutritional environment that is properly balanced and to specifically promote the in vitro development of healthy mesenchymal stem cells.
