Product Overview

Description

The antibody specifically recognizes CD339 (also known as Jagged1), one of the five main ligands of the Notch signaling pathway, which is activated by the binding of specific ligands to Notch receptors Notch 1-4. Notch signaling pathway is an evolutionary conserved pathway in multicellular organisms. It is essential for cell-to-cell communication in basic developmental and physiological processes (including regulation of neurons, heart and endocrine development, stem cell hematopoiesis, thymic T cell development, and Tumor progression and suppression. Notch receptors are connected by their specific ligands Jagged1 (CD339), Jagged2, Delta-like protein 1 (DLL1), DLL3 and DLL4, and are physically adjacent to signal-receiving cells through ADAM family metalloproteinases and γ-receptors Induces proteolysis of the receptor. The secretin complex in the transmembrane domain releases the Notch intracellular domain (NICD), which translocates to the nucleus. Then, subsequent signal transduction occurs through the CSL-NICD-Mastermind complex cascade (standard pathway) or the NF-kappaB-NICD and CSL-NICD-Deltex complex signal cascade (non-classical pathway). The canonical pathway inhibits the differentiation of stem cells or progenitor cells, while the non-canonical pathway promotes differentiation.
