Description

The mouse anti-Huntingtin antibody clone HDC8A4 reacts with an epitope corresponding to the HDC region (2703-2911 amino acids) of Huntingtin protein.
The mouse anti-Huntingtin antibody, clone HDC8A4, can detect a band of about 350 kDa on Western blot, but it can also detect smaller degradation products of huntingtin. Clone HDC8A4 can recognize denatured huntingtin in the human brain.
The combined use of mouse anti-Huntingtin antibodies, clones HDC8A4 (MCA2051) and HDB4E10 (MCA2050) proves that huntingtin enriches the neuronal cells of the brain.
