Description

A complete medium created for the best in vitro development of typical human epithelial cells is called epithelial cell media (EpiCM). It is a sterile liquid culture medium with a low content of foetal bovine serum (2%), vitamins, organic and inorganic compounds, hormones, growth factors, and trace minerals. When the medium is equilibrated in a 5% CO2/95% air incubator, the pH is 7.4 and it is bicarbonate buffered. The medium is designed (quantitatively and qualitatively) to offer a clear and nutritionally ideally balanced environment, specifically encouraging the proliferation and development of healthy human epithelial cells in vitro.
