Product Overview
Description
Heparin is a mucopolysaccharide with anticoagulant properties. It supports the binding of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) to its receptor and increases the stability of FGF. Heparin, together with the epidermal growth factor (EGF) and FGF in NeuroInduc™ medium, is used to cultivate embryonic rat or adult neural stem cells and progenitor cells, as well as adult mouse neural stem cells and progenitor cells.
