Description

The Neural Tissue Dissociation Kit was developed for gentle and efficient generation of single-cell suspensions from neural tissue in the neonatal brain (≤ P7). The Neural Tissue Isolation Kit (P) contains papain and the Neural Tissue Isolation Kit (T) contains trypsin.

Principle

Neural tissue from neonatal brains (animal age ≤P7) can be dissociated into single-cell suspensions by combining mechanical dissociation with enzymatic degradation of the extracellular matrix, thereby maintaining the structural integrity of the tissue. Neural tissue was enzymatically digested using kit components. Cells should be processed immediately for downstream applications such as cell isolation, cell culture, cellular or molecular analysis.
