Product Overview

Description

The Periodic Acid Schiff or PAS Stain Kit is used to detect glycogen in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections such as liver, cardiac and skeletal muscle. PAS staining kits are also available for cryosections. PAS reactions in tissue sections can be used to visualize mucopolysaccharides. PAS staining can also be used to visualize fungal organisms in tissue sections. Glycogen, mucins, and fungi will be stained purple, and nuclei will be stained blue.
