Creative Biolabs ready-to-use rat dorsal root ganglion neurons are suspensions of high-quality sensory neurons prepared by a standardized method and can be cultured immediately.
The dorsal root ganglion cells of each vial contained approximately 200,000 cells in 0.25 ml of suspension. Cell death will occur within the first few days after seeding, and debris will be observed. this is normal. After about 4 days of culture, the cells will form a network of neurites, and by day 7, fragmentation will be minimized.
Recommended medium: CocKit™ Primary Neuron Growth Medium (NCC20-9PZ10)
• Positive immunofluorescence staining for glial fibrillary acid protein (GFAP)
Growing cells: Growing cell cultures should be checked on receipt using an inverted microscope. Immediately check the cell density upon arrival for any obvious defects. If the cell density is too high (more than 80% confluent) subculture the cells (harvest and reseed) immediately.
For detailed instructions on the thawing procedure of frozen cells and the culture of adherent or suspended cells, please feel free to contact us by email or phone.
• HIV-1, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots
• A Certificate ofAnalysis is provided for each cell lot purchased
