Description
Antagonist of transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1). TRPV1, one of the TRP channels cloned as capsaicin receptor, functions as a pain receptor and is activated by capsaicin, heat and protons. SB-366791 inhibits the activation of TRPV1 by capsaicin and heat. It has been reported that it does not inhibit proton activation.
