Product Overview

Description

iNeu neurons from Creative Biolabs are pure and ready-to-use iPSC-derived glutamatergic or GABAergic inducible neurons and astrocytes. This platform comes closest to real human neurobiology observed in primary cultures, providing the ability to efficiently study human neuronal function in vitro. The co-culture kit contains Glutamatergic, Astroglia and all media required to establish a co-culture model for functional neuronal studies. Contains glutamate and GABAergic neurons, astrocytes and media Cat. No. NRZP- 0722-ZP2), or only GABAergic neurons, astrocytes, and culture medium (Cat. No. NRZP-0722-ZP3).

This kit is suitable for a variety of biochemical assays. For example, the effect of a compound on neuronal survival, axonal growth or dendritic arborization can be measured by standard assessment of viability or image-based analysis of labeled cells, respectively. When co-cultured with glial cells, effects on synapse formation and composition, transcriptional programs, and electrophysiology can be tested. Neuronal subtypes can be mixed in different ratios to make well-defined co-cultures for different experimental purposes.
Preparation and Storage

Quality Control

The maturation and neural network formation potential of iPSC-derived induced neurons has been functionally validated on MEA. All cells are tested for chromosomal integrity and pathogens (i.e. Mycoplasma, etc.). Full characterization is included in the Certificate of Analysis.
