Product Overview

Description

Mouse anti-human neuron-specific enolase antibody recognizes neuron-specific enolase (NSE), also known as 2-phospho-D-glycerate hydrolase, 2-phospho-D-glycerate hydrolase, epididymis Secreted protein Li 279, γ-enolase and neuron-specific γ-enolase: Neuron-specific enolase is encoded by the ENO2 gene and is one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme is a homodimer and exists in mature neurons and cells from which neurons are derived. During the development of rats and primates, the nervous tissue changes from alpha enolase to gamma enolase. The mouse anti-human neuron-specific enolase antibody can detect a band of 47 kDa. This antibody has been extensively validated by immunoblotting using whole cell lysates.

Immunogen

Purified recombinant fragment, amino acids 251-433, of human neuron specific enolase expressed in E. coli.
