Description
The ACTL6/BAF53 protein has similar homology with actin-related proteins and exists in the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex. ACTL6b/BAF53b protein is part of the nerve-specific SWI/SNF complex and plays an important role in remodeling mononucleosomes in an ATP-dependent manner, post-mitotic neural development, dendritic growth, memory, and synaptic plasticity.
