Description

Clathrin consists of three heavy chains (192kD). The three light chains (LCa or LCb, 25-29kD) self-assembles into a polyhedral cytoskeletal element. The self-assembly facilitates clathrin's central role in membrane sorting and selective transport within the cell.

Immunogen

Peptide derived from bovine clathrin light chain corresponding to the conserved region of the light chains, residues 23-44.
