Oil Red O is a lysochromic diazo dye used to detect neutral triglycerides and lipids in tissues. It is performed on fresh frozen tissue sections or cultured cells. Oil Red O Stain Kit for lipid and fat staining of formalin-fixed cryosections. It is not suitable for paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
