Description

Recognizes human nerve cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), also known as CD56. CD56 molecule is a cell surface glycoprotein that is expressed on a subset of neuroendocrine cells, natural killer cells and T cells in peripheral blood. There are three main CD56 subtypes. Neurons express the largest 180 kDa form, while hematopoietic cells express the 140 kDa isoform. Mouse anti-human CD56 antibody, clone 123C3 recognizes the 140 kDa and 180 kDa subtypes of CD56 protein.
