Product Overview

Description

The mouse anti-human cluster protein antibody recognizes cluster protein, which is a ubiquitously expressed protein of two 40 kDa chains α and β covalently linked by disulfide bonds. It exists in two forms: a pro-apoptotic form located in the nucleus and a secreted form that promotes survival. Both are thought to be related to DNA repair and cell cycle regulation. It is believed that this form of secretion can inhibit apoptosis signal transduction through BAX, and the inhibitory effect of Clusterin can make cells sensitive to chemotherapy. Clusterin is overexpressed in human prostate cancer, breast cancer and squamous cell carcinoma.
Clusterin is part of the SC5b-9 complex and prevents the C5b-C7 complex from binding to the target cell membrane, thereby inhibiting the complement cascade. Clusterin acts as an extracellular chaperone, inhibiting the formation of human lysozyme amyloid associated with Alzheimer's disease. Clusterin is also important in spermatogenesis and is secreted by supporting cells.
