Description
Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is also called Kallikrein III, protamine, semen enzyme, gamma-cysteine protein and P-30 antigen. It is a serine protease produced by prostate gland cells. The protein bound to the serum protein is called total PSA, and a small amount of unbound protein is called free PSA. PSA liquefies the semen in the semen and allows the sperm to swim freely. PSA usually increases when the prostate is present. Cancer and other prostate diseases: PSA blood test is considered to be the most effective test method currently available for early detection of prostate cancer. In addition, over time, elevated PSA levels are associated with local and metastatic prostate cancer (CaP). The human PSA monoclonal antibody is produced by a hybridoma formed by the fusion of SP2/0-Ag14 myeloma and B lymphocytes. The B/lymphocytes are obtained from mice immunized with total human PSA purified from semen.
