Product Overview

Description

Rat dental papilla cells are isolated from dental papilla tissue; dental papilla cells are derived from ectodermal mesenchyme, have multidirectional differentiation potential, and are the only precursor cells that differentiate into odontoblasts in vivo. It plays an important role in the repair of dental pulp damage. Dental papilla cells are undifferentiated mesenchymal cells with a small amount of fine collagen fibers scattered in the extracellular space. In the bell-shaped stage, the ectodermal mesenchymal tissue surrounded by the depression of the ameloblast increased, and the differentiation of cells appeared. Under the induction of the inner enamel epithelium, the cells of the outer layer of the dental papilla differentiated into tall columnar odontoblasts. These cells are columnar at the incisal edge or cusp, and cuboid at the neck of the tooth, which have not yet matured. Dental papilla plays an important role in tooth development. It has been proved that the dental papilla is an important factor in determining the shape of the teeth. For example, recombination of the enamel of the incisor with the papilla of the molar results in the formation of the molar; in contrast, the papilla of the incisor is recombined with the enamel of the molar, resulting in the formation of the incisor. Dental papillae can also induce non-odontogenic oral epithelium to form enamel organs.
