Product Overview

Description

Cementum is the mineralized tissue on the surface of the tooth root, which has many characteristics in common with bone and other mineralized tissues. It plays a role in repair activities, tissue regeneration, and is responsible for maintaining healthy periodontal tissue. Immortalized Mouse Cementoblasts are immortalized using mouse SV40 large T antigen and retain the phenotypic characteristics of primary cells, such as parathyroid hormone 1 receptor (PTH-1), non-collagen (BSP, OC, OPN) and type I Collagen expression. In addition, this cell line has been shown to respond to the presence of parathyroid hormone (PTH) and parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP), and to stimulate the formation of mineral nodules.
