Product Overview

Description

Rat olfactory bulb cells are isolated from olfactory bulb tissue; the olfactory bulb is the part of the vertebrate forebrain that is involved in the sense of smell and is used to sense odors. The olfactory bulb is divided into two distinct structures: the primary olfactory bulb and the auxiliary olfactory bulb. In the frontal lobe of the brain, nerve fibers from many olfactory cells are tangled together to form thread-like sections. Here, the fibers connect to multiple secondary neurons, the dendrites of mitral cells, from which the fibers extend to form the olfactory sac, which terminates below the frontal lobe. It is generally believed that it has an important function in the discrimination of smell. For most vertebrates, the olfactory bulb is located at the front of the brain, but in humans the olfactory bulb is located inside the brain. The olfactory bulb is secured and protected by the cribriform plate of the ethmoid bone, which separates the olfactory bulb and the olfactory epithelium in mammals, and the olfactory nerves connect to the olfactory bulb through sieve holes in the cribriform plate. The olfactory bulb is divided into two distinct structures: the primary olfactory bulb and the auxiliary olfactory bulb.
