Neuro 2a cell line has been used as a model to study the potential toxicological effects of copper oxide nanoparticles accumulation in the brain. It has also been used to determine the sensitivity of the cell line to saxitoxin, tumourigenicity studies, microtubular protein synthesis, vinblastine precipitation, GTP binding kinetics.
