This cell line may be used for both in vitro and in vivo studies of a rat brain tumor. It grows well in cell culture and provides a simple, reproducible glioma model when inoculated into the brains of syngeneic rats.

Culture Medium

The base medium for this cell line is Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
