Description

The Parkin mitochondrial recruitment assay cell line is an in vitro model of Parkinson's disease developed by Creative Biolabs; it includes U2OS cell lines stably expressing the following structures:

a. Green fluorescent protein (tGFP) fused to mitochondrial targeting sequence (MTS) derived from the subunit VIII of human cytochrome C oxidase
b. PARK2 protein fused to FP602 red fluorescent protein.

Features

Creative Biolabs offers this assay as a "stable cell line" in a cryopreserved vial. Each vial of the U2OS cell line stably expressing PARK2-FP602 and MTS-tGFP contains 3 million cells, and Creative Biolabs provides 2 vials of cells for each order. According to the cell culture manual, these cells can be guaranteed to pass more than 30 generations.

Mycoplasma Testing

The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.

Sterility Testing

Sterility testing was performed in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
