Description

Mouse anti-ALIX antibody recognizes apoptosis-related gene 2 interacting protein X (ALIX), also known as programmed cell death 6 interacting protein or Hp95. ALIX is a cytoplasmic protein of 868 amino acids ~ 90kDa, containing a BRO1 domain related to endosomal targeting (Kim et al., 2005).
It has been reported that ALIX depends on its binding to PDCD6 to play a role in apoptosis (Mahul-Mellier et al., 2006), but then it has been shown to participate in endocytosis (Matsuo et al., 2004), and virus budding (Irie et al., 2008)).) And actin cytoskeleton assembly (Pan et al. 2006).
