It has been shown that iPS cell lines can express normal pluripotency markers (ie Tra1-60, Oct3 / 4, nanog) by ICC and / or PCR methods. It has also been shown that this cell line retains the ability to differentiate into all three germ layers by spontaneous embryoid body differentiation, and has been proven to be karyotype normal.
Growing cells: Growing cell cultures should be checked on receipt using an inverted microscope. Immediately check the cell density upon arrival for any obvious defects. If the cell density is too high (more than 80% confluent) subculture the cells (harvest and reseed) immediately.
